We are looking for an Oracle Programmer . Local (from Indiana and adjacent states ) candidates preferred. This is a W2 hourly contract position. Corp  to Corp will not be considered for this position  .The contract is expected to start on 23-May-2016 and will go on through January 2017. Purpose of Position/Summary: 

Employee works for the client overseeing the development of complex and diverse software applications. Some of these systems are used within the entire department and others are used by only a select few. These systems may be intertwined with other systems to insure accurate and complete data as well as a minimal amount of data entry from the user. The clientprocesses millions of tax returns and collects billions of dollars for the State of Indiana.

As a developer for our organization, the employee will collaborate with other developers and staff to build high value deliverables for the Department. Our teams continuously improve our products by crafting and delivering superior and high quality code using Agile practices. This is achieved by maintaining stringent quality standards and modern engineering practices. Developer will use SOILD, DRY, and KISS principles when building products. Employee will be provided opportunities, both online and on-site, to improve their skills.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, and test products using core skills for the section.

• Proven track record working as part of a team delivering software solutions.

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging.

• Demonstrate an understanding of current trends and best practices in Information Technology.

• Extensive experience working with large development projects on Enterprise Systems.

• Previous experience working in an Agile environment is desired.

• Ability to work as a collaborative member of a team performing iterative product development.

Job Requirements: 

• Broad understanding of iterative product development.

• Understands the value of commitments of delivery made by the development teams and the impacts of this for the agency.

• Ensures that quality and security are always in the forefront of the development effort. 

• Broad understanding of relational databases.

• Ensures that industry best practices are used. 

• Experience with Oracle Forms 10g/11g in a three-tier environment as plus.

• Experience with Oracle Reports or Crystal Reports a plus.

• Extensive experience with SQL, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers using Oracle 10g/11g required.

• Must have strong knowledge of SDLC, software version control, software testing, coding standards and best practices.

• Ability to understand complex business rules and translate into system design. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
