Job Description

Our Customer Advocates are required to respond by email, live chat and phone to customer requests. A good candidate for this position will have excellent written and verbal skills, be people-friendly and have great technical knowledge of email and related technologies.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to email tickets, phone calls and live chats to assist customers with a broad range of email services
  • Escalate issues to senior technical staff and respond to the customer when escalation resolutions are available
  • Track incidents in help desk ticketing system
  • Where time is available, perform other various assigned tasks, such as document creation, staff and customer training, process improvement etc.
  • Pre-sales product support when required 
  • Shift work,  24 X 7 on call, weekend and holiday availability may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Fast typing capability
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem determination skills
  • Advanced knowledge of email services including SMTP, POP, and IMAP
  • Good knowledge of DNS zone files, including DNS records
  • Working familiarity with MS Exchange, FTP, SSL etc. and networking technologies
  • Sales oriented.  Capable of identifying and closing sales opportunities
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude
  • Good organizational skills will greatly assist in higher job performance.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS CONSIDERED TO BE DESIRABLE, BUT NOT REQUIRED
• Help desk experience would be valuable but not essential. 
• Show developing skill level in system administration, including a track record of using different Linux Operation Systems and managing servers.
• Demonstrate knowledge in a wide variety of email-related tools, such as browsers, email clients and operating systems.
