Are you interested in joining an innovative team who are striving to fix insurance for good?

esure are currently looking for a Household Underwriter to provide an efficient support service for operational staff, and to support the continuing development of the home and add-on products!

Who we are:

Our Home Underwriting department drives and brings change in esure's products and processes for the development and growth of the home product(s) and add on products.

We want to ensure that we are offering a stand out home product within the general insurance market. Our Home Underwriting team play a key part in this, using both internal and external data to analyse claims data and sales metrics to resolve issues and form comprehensive proposals to the Pricing Committees.

The day to day:

Our Household Underwriters offer valuable support to esure's operational and claims colleagues with underwriting issues relating to our home products. With support from our Senior Household Underwriters, we carry out referral overrides when needed.

As a team, we are continually learning and developing. Our Household Underwriters assist in ensuring that vital information is updated and shared, such as the underwriting guide and Home Policy Booklet. We also get involved preparation of technical training material, and produce training bulletins to communicate underwriting changes to operational areas.

Our Household Underwriters contribute to the ongoing development of the Home product by finding inefficiencies in, and improving internal processes. We collaborate closely with key business areas (such as Operations, UW, Pricing) to implement ways to better the customer journey.

We assist with the home pre renewal reviews to ensure the correct premium is being collected for the risk and that appropriate terms are applied.

We support the key end-to-end process for our Flood Re programme with awareness of the scheme and end-to-end process of rating/ceding risks to Flood Re.

Our Household Underwriters perform system/rate testing, and contribute to audits of key operational areas (Underwriting, Operations) to check UW practices are being maintained.
