Job Description

  • Department: Platform Product Management
  • Salary: up to £55,000 per annum D.O.E
  • Location: Hybrid - Leeds

Role Overview

The Platform Product Management (PPM) team is composed of Platform Product Managers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts. Our primary responsibility is to define and steer the development of Giacom's technology and software platform, with a central focus on enhancing our partners' experience in all aspects of our operations.

We are currently embarking on a substantial and high-paced business transformation initiative, which is fundamentally rooted in our software platforms and systems.

In the role of a senior Business Analyst, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, subject matter experts in the business, and our implementation partners on various projects. Your primary objective is to deliver both the new architectural framework and projects that align with our growth objectives.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead initiatives aimed at researching, analysing, and assessing requirements and processes to facilitate quantifiable, organization-wide transformation
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to fellow members of the PPM team, fostering their professional development and enhancing overall team performance
  • Participate in community of practice activities for Product Owners and Business Analysts to exchange ideas, share experiences, and acquire knowledge from your peers
  • Support Product Managers with competitor analysis, generating insights for new features that enhance the platform roadmaps
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Design team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional portal experience for our Partners
  • Work with Engineering teams throughout the development process, overseeing requirements as they progress through the development lifecycle
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for the final solutions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a business analysis role within a technology or software development setting, along with a track record of working in an Agile environment
  • Proficient in offering guidance and support to team members in a coaching or mentoring role to enhance the overall competency of the team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain complex subjects and a demonstrated history of adjusting communication style based on the audience
  • Proven experience in maintaining professional interactions with a diverse group of executives, managers, subject matter experts, and offshore teams
  • Capability to work independently, take proactive initiatives, and operate with minimal supervision
  • A demonstrated track record of managing multiple project deliverables concurrently, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet established deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Proven experience in the entire analysis and project life cycle, including standard analysis deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering analysis to support business changes, whether in large or small change initiatives
  • Evidence of writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge and experience in documenting and modelling business processes using various tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing extensive digital transformation initiatives, encompassing a combination of in-house and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions
  • Proficient in Atlassian suite of products (eg Jira and Confluence).
