Job Description

As a key member of our project team, you’ll apply your creative talent toward the design of award winning leadership development programs for some of the world’s most recognizable corporate brands. Your experience authoring advanced level interactive education programs using adult learning theory will add even more depth to our skill portfolio – that means we can take on more incredibly cool projects! But wait – you can’t just rest on your academic credentials – we need your business acumen, experience managing complex change, and international experience as well. We regularly engage free agents to help us with unique projects or to enhance our internal team – want to jump in our pool?


Some of the cool stuff we might ask you to do:

• Participate in visioning sessions with the project team and client stakeholders to define and document project objectives and requirements

• Create simple, elegant and educationally rigorous designs for simulations, including design flows, wireframes, storyboards, assessments and feedback, and course materials for both the student and the facilitator

• Interpret and communicate technical, abstract, and complex constructs in ways that make sense to your audience

• Partner with graphic artists, programmers and client stakeholders to identify optimal solutions to learning challenges

• Travel to client sites depending on need – some months require up to 25% based on project needs


Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the table:

• MS or MBA in a business, instructional design or education discipline

• A minimum of three years of experience designing learning programs for an adult audience 

• Exposure to, and interest in, business simulations or rich multi-media learning 

• Demonstrated knowledge and thought leadership in adult learning theory 

• Experience creating learning programs focused on core thinking practices – creative, critical, and systems thinking

• Ability to adapt instructional design practices to an Agile work environment

• Ability to negotiate scope, schedule, and effort tradeoffs with subject matter experts or team members based on value to the learner and the program

• Advanced level competency with MS Word and Excel

• Exceptional personal, written and presentation skills – executive presence – authentic, respectful and kind

• Innovation, an eye for detail, and strong communication skills with the self-confidence and willingness to tackle unchartered territory

• Pride in producing a quality work product whether completed individually or as part of a team

• Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to meet identified project success measures

• Creative problem solving ability and logical thinking
