Job Description

You’ll be responsible for applying your deep knowledge of sales strategies that generate new business and drive new revenue. You are focused and enthusiastic with a proven record of integrity and success in services sales. You have a passion for science, technology and the environment. Your natural curiosity and creative mind help you visualize new markets and potential applications that are not currently on our radar.

• You are highly motivated with a desire to proactively build and develop long lasting business relationships.

• You have a scientific background but are more interested in people and business.

• You enjoy the process of discovering people who have a problem and working with them to figure out a solution.

• You are so passionate about your work that you continue to build relationships with your clients that lead to additional sales opportunities and referral business.

• You have a refined communication style that is demonstrated by your personal presentation and written communication.

• You have worked in an early stage company and understand that you will wear at least 5 hats in any given day.

• You also understand CRM technology and faithfully keep your pipeline documented – you understand that selling is a science – and keeping track of your activity enables your success.

• Networking is in your blood. You are active in your community and live an environmentally responsible life.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of business to business sales experience – selling complex and abstract solutions within the physical science, chemical or environmental sectors will help you immensely

• An undergraduate degree in a STEM or life science discipline – Extra points for an advanced degree in STEM or Business

• Formal sales methodology training (Sandler, Challenger Selling, or other)

• Ability to rapidly and thoroughly learn new concepts

• Extensive and successful lead generation experience

• Strong problem solving skills

• Experienced negotiator and strong closer

• Excellent relationship management skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities/deadlines

• Able to work with minimal supervision
