Job Description
We are seeking a very special person to be a credible and competent “HR Services” provider for our very well-known client. Position level is flexible from Sr. Manager to Director depending on how well you can prove your value.
The right person for this role will become the company’s local point-of-contact for all C&B, HR Compliance, and HRIS related-matters and issues. Specifically:
A. C&B Function
• Drive the salary budgeting and planning (e.g., salary increases, merit increases, promotions, etc.) processes (held every September and October, respectively) and manage its full completion and implementation.
• Develop the compensation strategy to make it competitive with the market (e.g., participate in compensation survey or benchmarking, use external market data, etc.).
• Improve and maintain the company’s job labeling standards (i.e., job evaluation, job grading, JD development, salary banding, etc.).
• Work with Regional and Global counterparts in making sure that the Japan C&B programs are aligned with overall company C&B strategy.
B. HR Compliance Function
• Conduct training programs for all employees to inculcate to them the company’s Code of Business Conduct.
• Update and maintain company’s Work Rules to make them compliant with relevant labor laws and regulations.
• On need basis, serve as the company’s liaison officer with Labor Office representatives and other relevant government agencies to resolve employee disputes and issues.
C. HRIS
• Maintain employee information database to make it up-to-date and accurate.
• Prepare for the migration of current Excel-based HR database to SAP-HR in 2-3 years’ time.
