Job Description

Hypenica, an independent B2B multimedia company with a global network and active in rapidly developing sectors, is looking for a senior sponsorship and exhibition sales manager to join their established and thriving conference and expo team.


If you have proven ability to sell consultatively, have proven ability to manage existing accounts as well as develop new business, are commercially minded and are highly ambitious we’d love to hear from you!


Key responsibilities:

  • Selling at a high level into client accounts either sponsorship, exhibition or delegate packages.
  • To exceed sales revenue targets for each event and introduce new revenue from as wide a pool of potential clients.
  • To maintain excellent customer relations and have a thorough understanding of the markets in which you are selling.


Job outline:

  • Selling sponsorship, exhibition or delegate packages for conferences and expos over the telephone and face to face.
  • Researching and conducting sales campaigns to attract sponsors or exhibitors.
  • Working closely with the conference producer and marketing team to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Following up campaigns via telephone and email.
  • Attend competitive events and industry trade shows.
  • Build relationships and contacts with new accounts and create new revenue opportunities from untapped sectors.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Actively engage target companies at conferences, events and exhibitions.

At events:

  • • Face-to-face networking and business development.
  • • Act as part of the on-site team, ensuring the smooth running of the event.
  • • Build relationships with conference sponsors and delegates.


Requirements

  • Professional and persuasive telephone manner. Sales experience preferably in either the b2b media industry (advertising, events, exhibitions, conferences etc).
  • Enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-activity.
  • Experience in and a natural aptitude for sales.
  • Outstanding communication skills – especially listening and conversation skills.
  • Effective organisation and time management.

  • Good sales skills ability, particularly face to face, including Objection handling / Negotiation / Relationship building/ Problem solving
  • A keen knowledge in general business issues.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and determined with a strong sense of personal initiative
  • Organised, with good time management.
  • A quick learner.
  • A team player.
