Job Description

The Crystal Reports Writer has the responsibility of gathering end-user report specifications and creating reports in support of March Visions’ internal and external customers as well as maintaining the integrity of our standard report library and publishing reports to the Crystal Reports Server.

This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills to resolve business issues and develop more efficient business processes.  This includes gathering, analyzing and reporting on data in support of business cases and proposed projects. 

• Coordinates meetings with internal and external customers, draws out information needed to create report specifications and develops time/cost estimates.

• Manages multiple concurrent report requests.

• Performs quality assurance testing prior to releasing reports to production.

• Maintains Crystal Reports Server and our standard report library.

• Provides end-user training and support on InfoView and Crystal Scheduler.

• Provides expert level user support in the research and resolution of complex data issues.

• Generate GeoNetworks reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related educational discipline preferred. 

Strong understanding of relational databases
5 years of report writing/analyst experience in a managed health care environment
5 years of Crystal Reports experience
2 years of advanced Crystal Reports experience including Crystal Reports Server
Ingenix GeoNetworks experience preferred, but not required

 

 

Expert knowledge of Crystal Reports including UFLs, custom functions, stored procedures, sub-reports, group selection formulas, loops, variables, evaluation times and performance considerations.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Crystal Reports Server and InfoView.
