Job Description

Responsible for oversight of provider data integrity, quality and network development. Candidate must embrace company's commitment to leverage technology to ensure efficient and cost-effective business practices and procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring all regulatory and client standards are achieved; directs team members to proactively and reactively seek appropriate solutions to existing issues; fully accountable for maintaining positive working relationships with external and internal customers; works with team members to develop both new hire and ongoing training courses to improve and sustain knowledge among staff.

  • Oversees development and implementation of new provider networks and maintains the necessary network access levels in accordance with internal and external performance standards.
  • Manages the successful implementation of new clients and product lines as they relate to provider data maintenance and network development.
  • Provide business, operational and workflow expertise for Eye Manager system.
  • Maintains visible accountability for all aspects of the network and works with the team members to promote individual accountability within each team member.
  • Ensures client reporting production and accuracy standards are met including but not limited to provider rosters, Quest/GeoAccess, PV46 files and ad hoc reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring team meets and/or exceeds established performance goals to ensure equality.
  • Collaborates with team members in the development of provider manuals, internal training manuals, education and training presentations, marketing materials and quarterly/ad-hoc provider newsletters to ensure MARCH policies are communicated accurately and professionally with respect to language choices and without misuse of spelling, grammar, or punctuation.
  • Promotes the organization's commitment to precise entry of provider and vendor information to ensure accurate provider rosters and overall data integrity in addition to visible departmental results and instills this commitment in staff.
  • Facilitates correction of provider and vendor information and the continuous evaluation of operational procedures to ensure ongoing process improvements. Manages the identification of problem origins and the development of tools and processes to eliminate and/or migrate future occurrences of identified issues.
  • Communicates frequently with peers, team members and management on the performance of their assigned states and vendor relationships.
  • Contributes to the development of new policies, eliminates unnecessary policies, and updates existing policies as business needs change for their assigned states and vendors.
  • Performs team member performance appraisals and proposes salary increase and position change recommendations. Approves and finalizes Paid Time Off (PTO) requests and manages employee related matters in coordination with the department Director and Human Resources Department.
  • Analyzes and  manages assigned resources (both fiscal and human) and works with department Director for budget variance analysis.
  • Adjust departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as requested by company.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or health related discipline such as Healthcare Administration or Healthcare Management or equivalent business experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of contracting/reimbursement experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 3 years of supervisory/management/leadership experience preferably in a managed care setting.
  • 3-5 years experience with healthcare provider data.
  • 1-2 years Medicaid experience a plus.
  • Highly effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in an environment of rapid change.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network development and maintenance best practice approaches.
  • Working knowledge of physician office operations, managed care operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of NCQA credentialing and recredentialing standards.
  • Knowledge of best practices and industry standards for credentialing processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mapping software for network adequacy such as Quest or Ingenix GeoAccess/GeoNetworks reporting tools.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office products including MS Visio, and MS Project
  • Intermediate level knowledge of report writing applications. Knowledge of Business Objects and/or Crystal Reports preferred
  • Basic knowledge of department budget management and forecasting.
