Job Description

 

The Programmer’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and code software solutions based on user functional specifications and complex business requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of development using Agile and Scrum methodologies (MARCH SDLC).
  • Perform functional and integrated testing of software throughout various phases of development cycle.
  • Proficient in .NET programming (C++, C#, ASP .NET), MVC, Entity Framework.
  • Proficient at writing SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexes.
  • Identify, recommend and implement new technologies and/or upgrades as they become available.
  • Provide technical assistance to analysts during the SDLC.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related educational discipline preferred. MCSE or MCSD a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development life cycle.
  • Strong technical knowledge of.NET frameworks and C# programming is must.
  • Extensive experience with MS SQL server database design and development is required.
  • Experience in Healthcare industry including EDI and managed care systems.
  • Experience with MVC, EF, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, and WCF is preferred.
  • Experience with TFS using Agile/Scrum project templates a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to translate business process.
  • Some experience in administrating Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS and/or TFS a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
