Job Description

Act as a quality assurance analyst in support of system configuration (e.g., pricing and benefits) and outbound reporting. This position utilizes backend transact SQL skills to validate data rendered through Crystal Reports and our proprietary claims processing system.

  • The Business Analyst III will report to the Business Intelligence & Reporting department and is responsible for analyzing reporting and system configuration requirements, creating and executing quality assurance test scripts, tracking defects to resolution and effectively reporting status and results to stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements, understand business risks and incorporate reporting and system configuration requirements.
  • Audit and test system configuration related to pricing, benefits, authorizations and other contract and claims related requirements
  • Document test procedures to ensure they can be replicated and are in compliance with standards
  • Identify, document, analyze, track, monitor and prioritize audit findings, create summary reports with recommendations and supply development staff with feedback and information required to correct issues and problems
  • Collaborate with in-house business users to evaluate internal processes and/or configuration controls to identify non-compliance issues and improvement opportunities
  • Perform ad hoc duties in accordance to business needs

Qualifications

Level of Education: High school diploma. BS degree preferred.

Must
 have 6-9 years as a medical claims examiner/auditor with 2-3 years experience

in claims/customer service metric reporting and system configuration auditing.

Prior Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial HMO experience required.

  • Managed Care Claims or Provider Data Management
  • Transact SQL
  • Crystal Reports / InfoView Preferred
  • Experience Performing Quality Assurance Testing
  • Business Requirements Gathering & Documentation


Experience interpreting functional requirements from various business units and performing report QA inline with the requirements Experience working with end-users to understand report requirements

Requires 3-4 years of highly related information systems experience

Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and principles

Experience with all phases of report development

MS Office Suite and demonstrated experience with SQL

Strong technical background together with the ability work effectively with management, business analysts and developers

Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently

Excellent technical, analytical, written, verbal and communication skills

Extreme attention to detail
