Job Description

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WOODLAND HILLS, CA

 

This position is primarily responsible for utilizing the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards to maintain a current credentialing database for all participating providers as well as performs the primary source verification process for initial credentialing and re-credentialing.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain credentialing procedures that comply with State, Federal, health plan, and NCQA standards.
  • Maintain a credentialing database of all contracted providers.
  • Perform primary source verification (PSV) as delegated by health plans which may include confirming an applicant's education, experience, and qualifications.
  • Collect and record appropriate data as well as ensure systems are appropriately updated regarding provider credentials.
  • Participate in health plan audits and Professional Review Committeee meetings 

Qualifications

Level of Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent two-year college or technical school, or three years of related experience or equivalent.

 

Level of Experience: The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of credentialing experience, preferably in a managed care setting.
