The LMS Administrator is responsible for supporting ELA in its work to provide learning experiences designed to support ongoing skill development, engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness. The LMS Administrator will drive efficiency by establishing, maintaining, and documenting streamlined processes within the LMS. This individual will sit full-time in our Waltham, MA office with the other members of the ELA team.

Key areas you will focus on:

LMS Administration:

  • As the primary administrator for the LMS, configures, maintains, and optimizes the LMS to meet regulatory requirements, drive talent development initiatives, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitors and documents required training completion, professional development, and certifications. Implements and optimizes the LMS’s capabilities and information architecture to facilitate manager/user status reporting and generation of transcripts for regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Creates and maintains instructor-led training, events, sessions, curricula, online learning, materials, assessments, evaluations, and email notifications within the LMS and performs QA testing in preparation for deployment.

 

Onboarding & Ongoing Training Support:

  • Focuses on continuous improvement to drive exceptional learner experiences.
  • Supports both the TACtical Framework and Qualified Training Personnel (QTP) development by providing training, instructional documentation, and technical support to end users, managers, administrators, and others who interact with the learning management system.
  • Develops new hire training plan summaries and materials, assigns new hire curricula, and facilitates LMS training during New Hire Orientation.

 

Learning Effectiveness & Development:

  • Takes a data-driven approach to understand performance issues and development needs. Identifies, analyzes, interprets, and distributes learning metrics. Gathers and summarizes training evaluations. Analyses training progression and skill gaps. Works in coordination with ELA leaders to evaluate learning transfer effectiveness and business impact.
  • Implements and supports remote and mobile learning technologies (e.g., web conferencing and mobile learning apps).
  • Maintains internal sites and social learning platforms for information sharing and collaboration.
  • Performs troubleshooting of production issues and generates vendor support tickets to facilitate bug fixes, changes, and enhancements to existing functionality.
  • Attends LMS user group conferences &/or online learning events to determine LMS best practices.
  • Provides administrative and project support to ELA leaders and assists with or manages other projects as directed by the Manager, Learning Design &/or Sr. Director ELA.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills, and an aptitude to learn business requirements, regulatory standards, and new technologies
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and communication skills
  • Well-developed Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Aptitude for learning and using technology for learning systems and data analysis; demonstrate ability to learn new technology and tasks quickly
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience as an LMS administrator in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience with industry-standard learning management systems, Cornerstone on Demand preferred
