Position Description:

The Senior Application Developer designs, develops, tests, implements, supports, and maintains software applications to enhance the business processes. Work with project team members to determine system requirements, makes

recommendations regarding approach and software platform. Duties also include administration, trouble-shooting of existing custom applications, and resolving integrating issues with off the shelf software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with administration of software development methodology
  
• Maintains documentation consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley certification requirements
• Develop project work plans, assign tasks, monitors efforts of other analysts and developers and report progress as needed
• Creates end-user and technical documentation
• Provides weekly written status reports to management
• May research, analyze, recommend, and manage installation of purchased application software products

Required Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in information systems field, at least 5 years of experience as developer
• Thorough understanding of system and application development life cycle and large scale software implementation methodologies
• Knowledge of SOX compliance as it pertains to application development and security
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET Web forms, ASP.NET MVC, C#, Classic ASP, XML, HTML, and JavaScript
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 or later
• Experience working with Source Control Systems and Issue Tracking tools
• Proficiency MS Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office 2007 or later
• Requires a working knowledge of relational Database Design in MS SQL and good understanding of TSQL, Query Optimization techniques etc.
• Requires familiarity with client-server concepts and integrating the third-party software applications

Preferred Experience: 

• Experience with Accounting, Inventory and Manufacturing systems
• Experience with multi-national and multi-currency companies
• Knowledge of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF)
• Experience with jQuery
• Experience with Team Foundation Server Source Control System
• Experience with JIRA Issue Tracking tool
• Experience with SharePoint as an end-user, knowledge of SharePoint sites, lists, and document libraries, workflows etc.
• Experience with Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
