Job Description

What you’ll do:

DEFINE: Designers are a valuable part of the product definition process—they make high-level concepts tangible and advocate for our users. Informed by ongoing user research and product performance metrics, you’ll contribute to our product design strategy and roadmap. You’ll help product management define features and requirements.

EXPLORE: Create wireframes, flow diagrams, other visual frameworks and prototypes that best represent how features should work. Help your fellow product designers do the same—we produce the best work when we learn from each other, early and often. Collaborate with UX researchers on usability tests and rapidly iterate as you learn how your design is performing with real people. Present your work to stakeholders, discuss what is working or not working, and continue to refine your solution.

EXECUTE: Spend time with those who build our products. Actively engage with engineers, medical and regulatory experts, and data scientists to make your solution a reality. Create and maintain appropriate design documentation as you go. Help test and integration teams understand what we are building from a user-perspective and resolve surprises along the way.

EVOLVE: Stay aware of industry and design trends and share with the broader UX team. Relentlessly improve the way we work, and be the foundation of a world-class design practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a design discipline or human-computer interaction is a plus
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing mobile UIs and/or responsive web UIs. *Tip: Provide the rationale behind design decisions—we want to understand why you are proud of the work you’ve delivered
  • Passion for and up to date knowledge of human-centered design practices, emerging technologies, data visualization
  • Experience with agile/scrum and strong ability to collaborate software teams
  • Fluency in standard design software and prototyping tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
