Job AggregatorHiring Success Glossary
Job boards are commonly used by job seekers to look for open positions and by recruiters to post open jobs. Over the past several years, there has been a shift to using job aggregator sites.
Job aggregators pull open positions from multiple sites and allows the job seeker to search for all available jobs in one place. It is also known as a function within a job board or career site that allows the job seeker to customize the search results, based on skills, titles and location. Some sites are offering advanced searched with even more categories like company size and salary.
For recruiters, job aggregators can be used for a pay-per-click campaign compared to a pay-per-posting model with a job board. Job aggregator sites have also started to build resume databases where recruiters can pay per Resume compared to an annual subscription model with a job board where there are unlimited views.
