The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, an independent LORT theatre, is one of the nation’s largest classical theatres, serving over 100,000 children and adults annually.  It is New Jersey’s only professional arts institution dedicated exclusively to presenting Shakespeare’s canon and other classics through world class stage productions and high-impact education programs.  Six main stage productions plus an outdoor summer production are presented annually. Job Description

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey seeks an energetic and creative Associate Director of Marketing for a fast-paced department responsible for marketing, social media, graphic design, promotion, press, and community/public relations for a 7-show season in two venues; several education programs, special events, and more. Responsibilities include: plan and execute single ticket, special event and group sales marketing campaigns; create, curate and track all social media; manage print and digital advertising including Google Grant and Adwords; write press releases and copy for marketing materials; manage website content; conceive and execute community cross-promotions; supervise interns; among other tasks.   

Prior marketing experience in a not-for-profit arts organization highly desired. Excellent writing, interpersonal, organizational, design, and research skills required as well as strong knowledge of social media, web-based marketing, and advertising/promotion. Full-time.
