Job Description

Funded by Mayfield Fund and with over 40,000 business subscribers providing strong market validation, we are ready to accelerate our growth. We are looking for a stellar CMO who will own, develop and scale the complete go-to-market strategy for the business - overseeing all aspects from demand generation, inbound marketing and product marketing, to customer engagement and retention, brand development, PR, social media and corporate communications. 

This role is well suited to a metrics-driven senior marketer and business leader with a track record of successfully scaling a SaaS business, who is equally comfortable being strategic as they are initially hands-on, who can build, mentor a team and is on a 3 - 5 year track to lead their own company.

This is a senior leadership role in a marketing-driven company, reporting to - and working in close partnership with - Smartrecruiters' Founder and CEO Jerome Ternynck who has had considerable success in the HR software space to-date.

- 10+ years of progressive SaaS marketing leadership, with broad expertise across all marketing disciplines, particularly positioning, demand generation and customer engagement in a successful, freemium-driven SaaS business

- A data-driven decision maker, leveraging customer and company metrics to inform marketing strategy

- A passion for technology and how it can disrupt the status quo

- A leader who is collaborative and inspirational, with an ability to work collectively in a fast-paced startup environment
