This position can be either based in our San Francisco office or can be a remote position.
The Events Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of SmartRecruiters events that drive brand awareness and generate sales pipeline. This includes key industry tradeshows and SmartRecruiters’ annual industry conference, Hiring Success.
This position reports to the Director of Field Marketing & Events and works closely with individuals across the company including sales, customer success and the marketing team (product marketing, communications, design, digital, and customer marketing).

Deliver world-class event programs that drive successful results with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets
Develop integrated event plans from project plan and kickoff, to on-site event management and post-event follow up
Bring together cross-functional teams to deliver all event-related marketing including: content development, offers and promotions, email campaigns and landing pages, and sales outreach and engagement
Run pre and post event planning meetings and communications including event staffing, speaker management, agendas, on-site needs, and sales preparation
Evaluate event performance, including lead and ROI tracking and deliver wrap-up reports
Manage and process event leads with marketing ops in a timely and efficient manner
Manage event calendar and identify future opportunities
Assist with key components of SmartRecruiters’ annual industry event, Hiring Success
3-5 years managing B2B marketing events and industry trade shows with a proven success record. Experience in the HR industry is ideal
Strong understanding of event strategy, operations, and integrated event marketing
Highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, ability to handle stress and last-minute, urgent requests
Experience with event ROI reporting and tools including Salesforce and marketing automation (Marketo or equivalent)
Excellent budgeting and vendor management skills including booths, swag vendors, printing vendors, and trade show management companies
Responsive and proactive on timely and priority campaigns and/or tasks
Proficient in Google Drive applications, i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides
