As a Director of Architecture you will be responsible to coordinate our team's efforts to design solutions and choose technologies that will provide superb performance to our users and clean architecture to our developers. You will also work closely with our product team to ensure that the core product concepts have clean abstractions in our architecture.

What you will do:

• Provide technical leadership for Architecture team
• Support Product Team in defining our Feature Roadmap
• Define with the Architecture team the Technical Roadmap
• Help in defining interfaces/APIs of system’s components
• Define organisation and responsibilities of system’s components
• Ensure core concepts have the right abstractions
• Contribute to choosing technologies used in the system
• Support development and product teams in terms of questions related to the structure of the system
• Cooperate with DevOps team in designing optimal system’s infrastructure
• Contribute to documentation of the system
• Contribute in creating best coding practices for the development team
• Provide technical evangelization other team members
• Participate in a full life-cycle of the product
• Cooperate with our San Francisco based team in different cycles of product development

• Minimum of 10 total years of software development and infrastructure architecture experience, with at least 3 years designing and architecting enterprise web applications
• Expertise in multiple technologies (including Java, NodeJS, relational and non-relational databases, etc.) across software engineering, security, data interchange, data management, etc
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience in microservices architecture is a plus
• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies
• Experience in leading software development teams in an Agile/Lean environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ideally experience contributing to the professional community as a speaker, author or online contributor
