Job Description

In this role as a  GIS researcher, you will work in a team putting together data packages.  These packages contain information used by teams in the field at various locations. To assemble these packets you will use CAD documents, drawings, internal documents and maps as data sources.  Once assembled and delivered you will act as a resource for questions related to the packet should clarifications be required by the field team. 

You will use your organizational skills, and must have excellent written and verbal communications.


Qualifications


  • Requires knowledge and understanding of GIS concepts
  • Must have the ability to interpret construction drawings, construction documents and map documents,
  • Strong plus if you have formal training in GIS systems and knowledge of computer aided design tools.
  • Must have excellent MSOffice skills and ability to reliably perform routine administrative tasks like filing, organizing, data entry and more.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability meet deadlines.
  • Physical requirements include lifting 20 lbs and climb small ladder/step stool to retrieve documents
  • Must be able to work at a computer desk for prolonged periods of time

Additional Information

Experience Level:
This is a contract opportunity.  Expected duration is 6-12 months

Target range is $24/hr for entry level candidates with little experience to $33 maximum for candidates with GIS/AutoCad/Utilities/Pipeline experience
