Job Description
Manages Home delivery and Single Copy sales, marketing and operations in the State Market Area. Leads the development of tactical plans to support the Company’s circulation strategy, implements continuous tactics and achieves monthly, annual and ABC reporting period circulation objectives. Monitors contract performance of independent contractors in assigned regions to ensure premier customer service. This position requires extensive travel in Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin and parts of North and South Dakota; typically out of the office 3 – 4 days per week
Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Circulation operations, including demonstrated managerial, sales and customer service experience
- BA in business management, marketing, or communication or equivalent business
experience related to these fields
- Demonstrated project planning experience to include strategy, implementation of sales
tactics, managing deadlines and budgets
- Must be driven, proactive and have a strong desire to be successful in achieving weekly, monthly and yearly results to drive circulation volume and revenue growth
- Must be able to make individual decisions on a daily basis and work independent of
day-to-day supervision
- Strong organization skills and attention to details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative leadership style to elicit cooperation from independent contractors and agents, internal departments, business owners and subscribers
- Must have proof of valid driver’s license, auto insurance and have reliable transportation
