Job Description
Vita.mn, the Twin Cities Going-Out Guide, is a free distribution weekly publication and a highly interactive online site. Our Account Executive for Vita.mn is responsible for successfully crafting and selling print and digital advertising campaigns to meet the unique needs of prospective and existing customers. Builds an effective customer contact strategy to communicate new opportunities and to assess and optimize their existing sales program. Effectively cold calls to uncover new prospects and develop compelling sales ideas based on customer needs and Vita.mn’s features/benefits with successful results. Will be expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive media and sales resources.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience. Prefer a minimum of one year’s sales experience, with demonstrated ability to effectively cold call and close prospect accounts. Understands strengths and weaknesses of competitive media. Strong sales, negotiation, planning, problem solving and process management skills. Must be driven, proactive and have a strong desire to achieve results and be successful, with a proven track record of exceeding goals. Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills. Will need to attend some occasional weeknight and weekend vita.mn public events. Compensation plan includes a base salary, monthly bonus for making goal, quarterly commissions along with company benefits such as medical, dental, 401K, life insurance, PTO, etc. Must have proof of valid driver’s license, auto insurance and have reliable transportation. Knowledge of and experience with entertainment/lifestyle marketplace is preferred.
