Job Description

Responsible for the quality and availability of enterprise data and information.  Provides system and database support/enhancements. Creates and maintains databases for decision support and operational systems.  Provides database support for project development.  Develops detailed program specifications using programming standards, logical data modeling and process analysis techniques.  Works closely with all departments in support of current enterprise, in-house developed applications, and reporting tools that provide information and functionality for on-going business operations.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
•    Minimum of 3+ years programming, Database development/DB management experience;  prefer:
-     SQL Server 2006 or higher
-     Visual Studio 2010 or higher
-     Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5 or higher
-     Sybase and MS SQL database administration
•    Demonstrated knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques
•    Highly skilled in problem identification and resolution
•    Demonstrated knowledge of data and process modeling techniques
•    Demonstrated ability to design, debug, implement and maintain stored procedures, triggers and user-defined functions
•    Ability to proactively monitor the database environment and make changes to data structures, SQL, application logic or DBMS system to optimize performance
•    Ability to implement a rigorous security infrastructure for databases that ensures only authorized users have access to data
•    Ability to automate routine tasks with shell scripting or other scripting solutions
•    Strong attention to detail and quality
•    Ability to learn tools and technology quickly and effectively
•    Strong oral and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate complex information in terms that are understood at all levels.
