Job Description

    Would you like to join an ambitious, focused sales team?
    Are you enthusiastic, creative and collaborative?

We are searching for college-level students that have sales know-how, energy and initiative.  You will be coached in front-end sales, prospecting, appointment setting and driving revenue.  Our internship will be hands-on and will be a feeder program to future Star Tribune advertising sales jobs. 

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll gain an understanding of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Microsoft Dynamics, Kantar Media and Info USA systems.  Learn cold calling techniques and tips that will get you to decision makers.  Learn how to build professional presentations and expand your marketing skills.  Build relationships with our Account Executives, Account Coordinators, Marketing and internal operations team. 

Qualifications

•    Must be juniors or seniors in undergraduate college studies, with a strong focus on sales and marketing.
•    Excellent verbal, written and over-the-phone communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills with a comfort in working with people.
•    Ability to work in a team environment to develop and maintain strong working relationships, with internal and external partners.
•    Strong customer service orientation, organization skills, attention to details along with an interest in sales-related computer applications. 

This not-for-credit full-time summer internship runs from June – August, 2015 with the possibility of working a flexible part-time schedule during the school year.  The deadline to apply for this internship is Friday, May 29, 2015.
