Job Description

Star Tribune has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Journey Level Electrician.  This position is responsible for electrically maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all production and building equipment.  Candidates must have the ability to install or modify electrical equipment, work under production schedule deadlines, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work at various heights from ladders and platforms.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2 year Electrical Program or equivalent, and have served a full apprenticeship as required by the State of MN to acquire a Journeyman license
• Possess a minimum of a Class A Journeyman's or Masters Electrical license
• Available to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and work outside of normal shift hours on an emergency basis
• Excellent communication skills required
• Able to troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC’s, AC, and DC drives.

Star Tribune is a 7 day a week 365 days per year operation.  The Company offers a chance to work in an environment that provides for personal growth and development, working with team members who take daily pride in producing high quality service.  The Company offers an excellent compensation package (salary/benefits).  This full-time position is 40 hours per week and the rate of pay is based on the union scale.  This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
