Job Description

Generates advertising revenue by taking inbound and making outbound calls relating to classified ad placement, Special Star Tribune products and up selling. Provides advertisers with recommendations to best represent their product or service.  Answers customer questions related to placement of ads, rates, deadlines and policy.  Keeps current and knowledgeable on all Star Tribune products. 

Qualifications

•    Strongly prefer 1+ years proven sales experience in a sales environment requiring persuasive selling and communication skills.  Strongly prefer up-selling skills.
•    Strong attention to details, excellent proofreading, spelling, grammar and basic math skills  
•    Excellent computer and typing skills
•    Demonstrated customer service skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment
•    High school diploma or equivalent required
•    Previous call center experience helpful

This is a part-time position working approximately 30 hours per week and is eligible for benefits.  
Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8 am – 2 pm, 6 hour shift and will be scheduled to work one Sunday every 4th week; 9 am – 2 pm, 5 hour shift
