Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Clubs and Services Communication Coordinator is to assist the Vice-President (Clubs and Services) with the management of communications with student groups and other stakeholders within the Clubs and Services portfolio.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) To assist in the management of the Clubs and Services social media accounts;

2) To assist in the development and maintenance of listservs;

3) To contribute to the development of informational resources for Clubs and Services;

4) To perform regular maintenance of the Clubs and Services content on the SSMU website and produce new Clubs and Services web content;

5) To assist in the development and execution of new promotional and outreach strategies for SSMU Clubs and Services;

6) To facilitate the development of new initiatives for the promotion of individual student groups through official SSMU Clubs and Services channels;

7) To collaborate with the Vice-President (Clubs and Services) on consultative efforts or campaigns, as requested;

8) To respond to emails and calls from student groups or other stakeholders, as requested.

Qualifications

1) The Clubs and Services Communications Coordinator should have knowledge of the functioning of student groups at the SSMU. Experience serving as an executive of a student group is desirable;

2) Experience with social media or web management an asset;

3) Integrity, good planning skills, interpersonal skills, high degree of organization skills.

4) Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);

5) Good communication skills in English required, French an asset.

Additional Information

• Paid position: $15.25 per hour

• Hours: On average 5-6 hours per week

• Contract: ASAP to May 31, 2024
