Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Internal Logistics Coordinator is to assist the Vice President (Internal Affairs) in event-planning duties. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate, with the Vice President (Internal Affairs), the Fall and Winter General Assemblies, and any special General Assemblies;

  2. Manage and coordinate General Assembly volunteers during the event as well as assisting with the set-up on any other days of organizational logistics;

  3. Work with the Vice President (Internal Affairs) on any other large events that will be held during the year, specifically in planning and logistics coordination;

  4. Work with the Vice President (Internal Affairs) on the selection and management of the Students’ Society Programming Network (SSPN);

  5. Complete and submit an exit report before the end date of the contract.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in coordinating events;

  2. Knowledge of the SSMU governance, SSMU mandates and SSMU events and activities 

  3. Understanding of Microsoft office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suit;

  4. Must be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously;

  5. Integrity, good planning skills, interpersonal skills, high degree of organization skills;

  6. Strong communication skills both in English and French an asset;

  7. Knowledge of Information Technologies (social media, live streaming, registration system).

  8. Initiative and results driven oriented;

  9. Organized and capable of following through on a project.

Additional Information

  • Paid position: $15.95/hour
  • Hours: On average 4-8 hours per week;
  • Contract: August 1st, 2022 – May 31st, 2023;
