Job Description

Volunteer Role:

Reporting to the Legislative Council, the Committee shall:

  • Coordinate events and programming that bring greater visibility to Indigenous student life at McGill and Indigenous issues;
  • Connect and facilitate cooperation between the Society, the First Peoples' House (FPH) and groups within Indigenous student life at McGill;
  • Solicit student feedback regarding the Society's role in improving Indigenous student life at McGill;
  • Monitor the Society's compliance with its Policies and Plans as related to Indigenous Affairs; and
  • Identify and make recommendations for addressing broader issues affecting Indigenous communities on campus, in the Montreal community and in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Member of the Society.

Additional Information

  • Volunteer position;
  • Time Commitment: Average of 2 hours per week.
