Channel Manager, North Asia/ Southeast Asia

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Managing the Company strong Channel networks business within Asean region. To strategize, implement and manage a well defined Channel Policy for SE Asia, which drives the Channel partners of all verticals to improve Channel capacity and increase Channel Leverage.

 

RELATIONSHIPS:

Supervision on a day to day basis is limited and the person must operate on their own initiative.  Unusual situations and opportunities are discussed with the Channel Manager, North Asia/ SoutheastAsia.

PRINCIPAL CHALLENGE:

The main activities of this position are to protect and increase the Company's market share in the assigned sales territory.  It is his responsibility to strategize, implement and manage a well defined Channel Policy for SE Asia, which drives the Channel partners of all verticals to improve Channel capacity and increase Channel Leverage.  He will work closely with the DC(Demand Creation) team to develop Channel Partners/ Resellers in all verticals to improve Channel capacity and increase Channel Leverage in the Southeast Asia region.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. To strategize, implement and manage a well defined Channel Policy for SE Asia, which drives the Channel Partners/ Resellers of all verticals to improve Channel capacity and increase Channel Leverage
  2. Work closely and collectively with our SE Asian’s Demand Creation teams, who will geographically grow the Channel Business in Asean.
  3. Constantly increasing the prospecting base and monitoring the geographical Channel Funnels in each Vertical.
  4. Implement and manage a Channel Incentive Policy which rewards high performing channel partners.
  5. Develop strong top to bottom relationships throughout the Partners organization at all times and increase Channel capacity in SE Asia regions where required.
  6. Schedule continuous training and education for Channel Partners/ Resellers on company's products and policies.
  7. Effectively manage and motivate the the Company Channel Partners/ Resellers within South East Asia in meeting sales targets and KPIs.
  8. Monitors Channel’s inventories and orders closely and to provide assistance and guidance to all distributors to maintain sufficient inventory or product to provide proper balance and depth and turns of the inventory.
  9. Manage Channel POS, Funnel & Inventory reporting to ensure that it is updated for top management review.
  10. Provides the basic data/reports as and when required for management decision making/reporting.
  11. Operates within all prescribed policies, procedures and expense budgets while maintaining a strong image of professionalism in all activities.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering with at least 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Significant and successful experience in managing channel sales, working with a wide spectrum of customer base including contractors, installers, consultants and end users.
  • Candidate with knowledge & experience in Channel Management is essential.  The candidate must be highly motivated self-starters with a proven record in area/vertical sales management and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have a formal Company Sales Training Program on product, technical knowledge and field training to provide a thorough knowledge of all supporting departments and resources available to the customers.
