Company Description

Our client is an international reference on the market of the integration of precision machining in the high-tech industry.

 

They are now starting their operations in Singapore (new Production Line) and are looking for their future Workshop Manager to organise and run the production process. 

Job Description

Reporting to: Operation Manager

 

Job purpose: to organize the production process.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

You will be responsible for:

1)     Production Operations:

  • To organize and monitor the production (be accountable for the quality and the deadlines);
  • To manage and lead the production team (around 3-4 people);
  • To be the technical expert in machining;
  • To perform the machining programs if needed;
  • To plan and coordinate the work and tasks of the workshop staff;
  • To work with suppliers and sub-contractors for all the activities you will be responsible for.

 

2)     Continuous improvement and technological surveillance:

  • To identify and implement production improvements;
  • When starting a new production line, to participate to the setting up of the equipment, ensure the correct functioning of the process and make sure that the routings are used in a proper way.

 

3)     Safety

  • To ensure safety at work (for people and equipment) and actively participate in the HSE initiative.

Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience in a similar role combining production responsibilities and team management;
  • Strong machining background with a previous experience in production (milling, turning and/or grinding);
  • Perfect knowledge of the machining processes: turning and CNC milling, surface and cylindrical grinding with an imperative need of high quality;
  • Knowledge of welding processes (PTA and TIG) would be a plus;
  • ISO programming expertise;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a smooth team management;
  • Dynamism, “hands-on attitude” and proactivity to lead the production projects by maintaining the motivation and involvement of your team;
  • Organization and rigor would be a must.
