Our client a well-established player which designs and distributes fashion accessories, is looking for a Head of Production (Bags), based in Indonesia.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Ensure that all products are produced and delivered before the launching of each new collection.
• Minimize out of stock items by optimizing suppliers’ production capacity and following up replenishment orders.

Report to: Chief Operating Officer

Working Location: Jakarta (South)

• Manage production, planning, deliveries for bags.
• 160 SKU per collection with 9 collections per year. More than 5,000,000 pieces produced per year.
• 9 catalogue per year means this is a fast pace environment job !
• As 100% of the production is outsourced: Suppliers Management is at the core of the job and the expertise needed to succeed in this job !
• 20 Suppliers to Manage (ensure they grow along with the production needs of the Company)
• Supervise PPIC department for bags and review performance of each Suppliers from time to time.
• Set up strategic planning for production set up based on dynamic sales, with regular meetings involving Sales, Merchandising and Country General Manager = internal "influencor" role to reconciliate Sales forecast and suppliers allocation.
• Control allocation orders for each category so that production’s needs match with production capacity and Supplier’s ability.
• Maintain relationship with existing suppliers; fasten communication flows related to production issues, and take action to solve them.
• Source for new suppliers, who can produce faster, cheaper and proper quality according to needs.
• Manage replenishment quantities, coordinate with demand analysis department and arrange production capacity to follow.
• Produce supplier performance report to determine issues and action for improvement plan.
• Prevention issues on stock availability by monitoring sales, production output, raw material and merchandiser catalogue plan.

• Experienced in Production Outsourcing (Suppliers management)
• 8 to 10 years working experience in fashion goods production
• Solid experience in handling high volume production in tight schedule
• Engineering Degree and/or Production management
• Excellent communication skills: able to maintain excellent relationships with all divisions of the company (especially the Design, Sales & Marketing teams)
• Strong Leader/influencer skills
