Our client is a European producer of natural raw materials, perfume compositions and food flavorings.

Ranked as a world leader in natural ingredients, capitalizing on its expertise gained from years of experience and a continuous drive to innovate.

They are now starting their fragrance operations in Singapore (new fragrance compounding Line) and are looking for their future Production Manager to organize and run the production.

Job Description

Job Purpose

The prime responsibility and the aim are to organize the production process, resources and work activities to ensure duly completion of planned production schedule.

We are looking for a self-motivator and a hands-on manager who will bring the necessary energy and expertise to set-up and grow the production line as it starts from scratch.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Your first responsibility will be to set up the Workshop from scratch, under the guidance of the European engineering and production teams.

Once the production starts, your responsibility will move from a Workshop Manager to a Production Manager.

 

  • Participate to the setting up of the workshop
  • Recruit and train the future team 
  • Responsible for day-to-day workshop operations
  • Accountable for the profit and loss of the workshop operations
  • Ensure that all workshop KPIs are met 
  • Responsible for driving maximum workforce productivity, utilization and efficiency
  • Responsible and ensure the quality of work performed by the team
  • Organize and control the team to achieve best possible workshop quality and execute all jobs according to customer’s requests
  • Responsible and ensure that workshop environment meets WSH practices.
  • Supervise receptions and shipments, manage stocks

Qualifications

  • Any qualifications in Chemical, Manufacturing or other equivalent technical disciplines
  • A proven experience in Fragrance Compounding, for example :
  1. Few years as fragrance compounder, followed by 2-3 years experience as team leader or shift leader
  2. Fragrance Manufacturing Method or Process responsible
  3. Fragrance Manufacturing technical support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a smooth team management
  • Dynamism, “hands-on attitude” and proactivity to lead the production projects by maintaining the motivation and involvement of your team
  • Organization and rigor would be a must


Additional competencies

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to write a production report and/or a memorandum
  • English speaker + one Asian language (Mandarin would be a plus)
