Overview

Key intern wanted to work directly with the Chairman of VOMI.  You will be trained on basic virtual organization management best practices, policies and procedures and be taught how to support, monitor and evaluate the performance of virtual organization team members.  Will also be involved, under strict supervision, in planning and/or attending Board meetings;  learning and using parliamentary procedures based on Robert's Rules of Order; recording and transcribing minutes of board meeting; and helping draft Board resolutions.  

This is a 30-Day UNPAID Global-Virtual Internship,  with a possibility of being extended for up to a maximum period of 90 days based on your initial performance during the first 30 days.  Our internship program is Year-Round and is open to all applicants worldwide who meet our strict requirements.   All selected interns who have successfully completed the maximum total of 90 days of internship will receive a $500 stipend for tuition and education expenses subject to meeting all other stipend award requirements.

Qualification Requirements: 

You must be an MBA or Ph.D. program student majoring in either organizational management, human resources, or related discipline.   Must have a min 3.50 GPA in your major or equivalent; a 3.75+ is preferred.  Must be a real stickler when it comes to adherence to policies and procedures.   Admission is limited only to students who will receive course credit for the internship; please do not apply if you do not meet that requirement.  As well, we require the following:

•    Above all else, an Oustanding WORK ETHIC! 
•      An obsessive compulsion when it comes to organization
•    Excellent written and oral communication, research, and writing skills 
•    Proficiency using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel. 
•    Experience conducting internet research preferred.  
•    Willingness to work under close supervision and within the constraints of tight deadlines 
•    Previous experience in a corporate environment is a plus 
•    Fluency in English required, additional language proficiencies (French, Chinese, etc.) are a plus
