Senior Software Engineer (ASP.NET)

 

Description:

Watson-Dwyer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for one of our valued clients in the insurance and finance industry. Our client is a privately held Chicago-based corporation that provides financing for extended vehicle service contracts.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for working .NET/C#/SQL technologies. Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer with knowledge, motivation, and high energy.  An ideal candidate will be extremely proficient in web application development and knowledge of ASP.NET and SQL. You may also be required to lead junior developers in the development process, ensuring that the quality of their work meets industry standards.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer (ASP.NET) your duties will include: 

  • Provide contributions to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of critical business applications using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
  • Support on-going business IT projects as needed.

Requirements:

 

 Qualifications required:

•        Self-directed and detail oriented – exceptional  troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving and follow up skills

•        Fast learner with the ability to use various resources to research issues and develop recommendations

•        Team player with willingness to help out on ad hoc projects as needed

·         .NET or C# experience

·         Microsoft SQL Server experience

 

Experience required:

·         5+ year’s experience in software development

·         5+ years building secure web platforms

·         3+ years ASP, .NET or C# experience

·         2+ years web interface design
