Job Description

Reporting to the AVP Sales, LATAM Region, the Account Director will be responsible for managing and developing a team and providing representation to America Movil prospects and customers for all our client’s Mobile Broadband Solutions and Load Balancing Equipment. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain customer and channel relationships. As a key member of the LATAM Sales team, you will have the ability to generate and foster long-term relationships at all levels.  The key focus is selling to Tier I and 2 Telecom operators in Central America as well as AMX. The Sales Manager will have 5+ years selling mobile packet core solutions such as optimization, caching and load balancing solutions.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Establish relationships and engage at executive levels within assigned accounts to identify and sell Core Optimization solutions and services direct to the companys most strategic, complex named Tier 1 and 2 Telecom Operators within Mexico and Central America.

Strong customer interaction at the Sr. Management level with support on forming a relationship with C level contacts within these accounts.


May be a team leader and provide professional leadership and coordination.


Carry a revenue quota to meet or exceed sales targets and demonstrate continuous progress towards achieving account strategies.


Identify, develop, execute, and maintain account strategies to drive adoption of Core Optimization  product and services revenue within assigned Tier 1 and 2 Telecom Operator accounts and their subsidiaries and affiliates.

Accounts are key, strategic and may have complex requirements.


Establish and lead teams of internal and external resources to identify, pursue, and close specific opportunities consistent with account strategies.


Establish and maintain close relationships with inside sales, systems engineers, consultants, and sales specialists to access to and leverage from appropriate internal resources.


Establish and maintain relationships with resellers, system integrators, and any other external partner to develop and achieve account strategies and opportunity plans.


Understand and navigate account procurement practices to successfully negotiate profitable licensing contracts.


Drive prompt resolution of customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with Citrix products and services.


Serve as the primary client contact for non-technical or support issues requiring escalation.


Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales management.


Ensure accurate and timely forecasts in SalesForce.com.


Assist in securing non-commissionable revenue in assigned accounts (including Subscription Advantage).


Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)


Technical engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred
12+ years of telecom sales experience, with at least 5 years selling Mobile Packet Core and/or Web/Video Optimization solutions to Tier 1 and 2 Telecom accounts in Mexico and Central America and strong history of quota achievement.


Viewed as an expert in Telecom Mobile Packet Core/Optimization solutions in the company and/or industry.


Track record of meeting or exceeding Telecom sales quotas in excess of $3 million a year.


Proven track record in closing complex Telecom sales.


Experience working with external partners to develop and close business within Telecom Operator accounts.


Experience in negotiating complex frame and SOC agreements.


Experience using sales automation tools such as SalesForce.com.


Network of Telecom reference contacts with whom one has built a trust relationship and with whom one can gain an audience to present Core Optimization solutions and identify opportunities.


Experience in a minimum of 1 to 2 of the following areas of expertise: (i) Mobile Packet Core; (ii) Mobile Core Web/Video Optimization; and/or (iii) Mobile Core Caching and/or Load Balancing.


Physical Demands / Work Environment
Ability to travel 60% as appropriate in order to manage and close opportunities within assigned accounts and their subsidiaries and affiliates.
Work with minimal supervision.
Person must be flexible and able to deal with fast and rapid change.
Spanish and English fluency.
Position is based in Mexico City, D.F. Mexico.
Other duties as assigned.
