Sr. Java Developer The Sr. Java Developer designs, implements, and maintains multi-user Java web applications that meet the business requirements of client organizations, are accessible to authorized customers and are kept up-to-date. Additionally, the position serves as a systems analyst who defines and validates the need for new systems, as well as translates functional requirements into design specifications to meet the needs of functional customers. Specific experience and skills include:



* 5+ years Java experience (Sun Java certification an asset)

* Experience with enterprise-scale application development, Struts, OJB, Eclipse, CVS, Ant, Tomcat, JUnit, log4j, Quartz, Linux, Apache, Oracle, and MySQL is preferred

* Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills

* Good Knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP

* Experience using common apache frameworks for Java development

* Familiarity with Spring IOC and AOP

* Familiarity with ORM concepts and JPA in particular (preferably the Hibernate implementation)

* Should have worked with Eclipse, SVN and Maven

* Ability to work independently with little guidance i.e ability to research and formulate a technical solution given a problem

* Ability to lead 1-2 Java developers from time-to-time

* Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), test-driven development (TDD)

* Experience with Agile Scrum

* Knowledge of SQL and experience with more than one of the following databases: Oracle, MySQL, or MS SQL

* Ability to independently organize and manage time effectively to meet goals of software delivery. Manage multiple tasks; ability to independently meet deadlines and maintain high level of productivity.
