Who are we looking for?

We’re inviting job seekers from underrepresented communities to Hiring Success by working with local community leaders from many nonprofits. Any job seekers who are in a healthy place, and are ready to reenter the workforce or find a new career, but need some help preparing are welcome!

What types of companies will attend?

All companies that attend our Hiring Success conference are invited to join our Reverse Recruiting event. Many from global and local companies in almost all industries: retail, construction, food and beverage, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, finance …

What's the purpose of the interview and what can you expect?

Though recruiters will not be hiring for a specific job, the meeting will help you gain networking skills, build a relationship and maybe a mentorship with a recruiter. It will also allow recruitment professionals to learn more about your community to foster a more inclusive environment for all! The main goal of the event is to build bridges between communities who have a lot to benefit from each other.

What language will the interviews be held in?

Most conversations will take place in English, but we are willing to assist other needs such as sign language or other languages, just let us know.

Will there be accessibility support?

We've worked to make the conference accessible to anyone with a visible or invisible disability. We also added a question in the sign up link regarding need for accommodations.

Level of education?

There is no restriction for the level of education or past experience. The organizations attending, hire people in jobs of all skill levels and many professions. All levels of education and experience are welcome to learn more and share their story.

What is the format of the event?

Job seeker registration will start at 3:30pm, where you will get a badge and location instructions. Any special accommodations requested (e.g. a sign language interpreter, a live transcription app, a white board) will be shared with interviewers when you meet.

How can I sign up?

Since we want the experience to be personal, we want to pair up jobseekers with one recruitment or HR professional. Therefore, we will have space for around 300 job seekers, but will keep a waitlist in the event of a cancellation. If you are interested, please sign up here.
