SmartRecruiters Launches 2021 Internal Recruiting Awards

New awards will recognize excellence in talent mobility; submissions open through June 25

San Francisco – May 27, 2021 – SmartRecruiters today announced the official launch of the inaugural Internal Recruiting Awards (or “The IRAs”), an industry initiative designed to recognize and celebrate employers and organizations committed to excellence in internal mobility. The Internal Recruiting Awards is the first-ever global TA event focused solely on recognizing internal recruitment programs and initiatives. 

“The past year has completely transformed hiring processes,” said Matt Charney, Director of Customer Experience and Thought Leadership at SmartRecruiters. “Threatened by cost-cutting, hiring freezes, and headcount reductions, the focus of talent acquisition leaders has shifted significantly towards internal recruitment and development. Not only has this shift helped companies fill crucial positions quickly, but it has also helped avoid job cuts.”

While SmartRecruiters is powering the 2021 Internal Recruiting Awards, it is an industry initiative that will feature a blue-chip panel of judges, including Gerry Crispin, Founder of CareerXRoads; George LaRocque, Founder of WorkTech; Maisha Cannon, Head of Global Sourcing at Procore; Tim Sackett, President of HRU Talent; Jim D’Amico, Global Talent Acquisition Leader at Celanese and Board Member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP); Stacy Zapar, Sourcing Guru and Owner of the Talent Agency; and Madeline Laurano, Founder of Aptitude Research.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 25. Nominations are open to any employer, regardless of industry, size, or market presence. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of objective, independent industry experts and talent leaders for program innovation, utilization of emerging and existing technology, employee outcomes, and the role of internal recruiting in helping employers achieve Hiring Success.
